We believe and support the creation of a network filled with inclusivity. Passion Projects
We are committed to educating students from all walks of life, and we do it through mentorship programs and internships that allow them to learn about how to implement sustainability in the real world. The contribution we make through these opportunities, organizations, and initiatives provides a platform for the next generation to continue the battle for a sustainable New York City
YPE NYC aims to facilitate the advancement of young professionals in the NYC energy industry through a variety of events and professional opportunities. We bring together energy enthusiasts across different cross sectors of the industry.
Our CEO, Fatou Jabbie, was one of the original mentors for YPE NYC’s inaugural mentorship program.

In all five boroughs of New York City, there are over 400 high schools, with 135 of them offering approximately 300 CTE programs.
NYC CTE’s mission is to ensure that all NYC students graduate college and career ready, as well as to provide a high-value plan to support both students’ postsecondary aspirations and the city’s economic strength. Students in CTE are given the chance to earn industry-recognized qualifications and certifications, which can help them advance in their fields of study.
Our CEO, Fatou Jabbie, serves on CTE’s Commission on Engineering, Architecture, and Robotics. She invests her time, energy, enthusiasm, and resources towards making CTE curriculum and activities relevant to real-world needs. She is involved by describing industry trends in order to inform and shape existing and new CTE programs, supporting talent development in high-growth areas, finding and assessing competences and credentials, and linking schools to resources and training opportunities as a volunteer.

The Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) is a division of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) promotes the role of women in the energy and environmental industries. It supports existing professionals in their career growth, as well as allowing young women aspiring to leadership roles to discover mentors who will help them succeed.
Fatou Jabbie, our CEO, attends all significant council meetings, trade exhibitions, and expositions. Round table talks, panels of important industry specialists, and presentations relating to current industry advances are typical meeting formats. Breakfasts and receptions hosted by CWEEL provide opportunity to network with your peers, create new contacts, and enhance current ones.

Steven’s Institute of Technology is a technological research university with a student-centric approach that focuses on six foundational pillars. The Cooper Union was founded in 1859 by Peter Cooper an inventor, industrialist, and philanthropist dedicated to diversity and acheiving fair access to education. The Cooper Union’s mission continues to embody this vision by offering education in architecture, art, and engineering to it’s student body. The Cooper Union, through it’s free center of learning and civic discourse encourages students to be creative and inventive, and to become influential in the aforementioned arenas. Addressing critical challenges of the present can only be achieved through education and Cooper Union believes it should be accessible to all members of society without regard to race, economic status, religious background, or gender. In 2014, USL Technology’s Founder and CEO, Fatou Jabbie received the prestigious Collaboration Award from EDF. This award is presented to members who spur collaborative efforts surrounding energy solutions across the EDF Climate Corps network.
According to the EDF web blog, Jabbie was one of the most frequent contributors to the EDF Climate Corps LinkedIn group; She
would organize weekly conference calls for all members working in data centers. Jabbie’s hard work benefitted not only her own project, but also the projects for all other members. These efforts showcased her commitment toward EDF Climate Corps network and the global sustainability
goals for the company.

The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is dedicated to helping building and energy efficiency professionals
improve their practice through networking efforts. The organization promotes sustainability
and sustainable energy practices particularly in the building sector. NESEA has worked nationally and internationally
to increase theese efforts, even colloborating with the German Consulate and the Upper Austria Trade Commission to introduce
cutting-edge data and technologies from Europe to their BuildingEnergy conferences and trade shows.

Manhattan College is a New York City-based private Catholic liberal arts college in the Bronx. Hands-on learning in the labs, internships, and on-site at some of the area’s latest and greatest engineering marvels, such as the World Trade Center, the Second Avenue Subway, and the New York Bridge, distinguishes the civil and environmental engineering programs. Many of our alumni are actually the engineers behind these cutting-edge initiatives. On-campus recruitment activities, unique lectures, and the Mentor Program, in which USL is significantly involved, provide students with access to these professionals.
