Holistic Approach
When you work with us, you will find that USL Technology takes a holistic approach to meet your needs and achieve your goals. We consult on a range of project types, and discover the opportunities available to you while considering economic value, local requirements, and incentive opportunities catered to you, all while elevating your building to a higher level of performance, comfort, and value. At the same time, USL streamlines the process for you to integrate sustainability and resiliency goals into your operations and long-term planning strategy.
Sustainability & Climate Resiliency
In line with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Mayor’s Office of Resiliency, USL aims to pioneer climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience and conservation strategies into buildings and communities in New York City. USL works with its clients to develop and implement a holistic and proactive sustainability and resiliency strategy for NYC buildings to uphold the triple bottom line of sustainability in building environmentally-sensitive, socially-responsible and economically-viable communities.
Smart Technology
Smart metering of energy, water, and waste usage can provide informative data to improve efficiency and save money. Metering allows for diagnostic evaluation, and checks against the baseline to make note of where a system is operating outside of its design scope due to routine or unscheduled maintenance needs, building operation changes, and more! All of these technologies will contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions while also saving people time and money.
Carbon Goals
Guided by the OneNYC plan and the 80x50 report, USL works to minimize carbon emissions from NYC’s building sector (which is nearly 70% of the NYC carbon footprint). By tackling the challenges posed by climate change with innovation, creativity, and inclusivity, we are not only improving the quality of life for all New Yorkers in the built environment, but also protecting our planet at the same time. USL works with its clients to develop and implement a holistic and proactive compliance strategy and help them identify energy efficiencies and best practices for compliance all along the projects.
